Annapurna Circuit Trekking
An Adventure Around Annapurna and the Scenic Manang Valley
Trip Overview:
Best Time to Trek:
The best seasons for the Annapurna Circuit are spring (March to May) and autumn/fall (September to November). These months offer clear skies, mild temperatures, and excellent trekking conditions. In spring, the mid-hills come alive with vibrant wildflowers, particularly the rhododendron in full bloom. In autumn, the skies are typically crystal clear, providing spectacular views, though it can be colder, especially at higher elevations.
Culture and Religion of the Annapurna Region:
The Annapurna Circuit takes you through a mix of cultural influences. The lower regions are predominantly home to the Gurung, Magar, and Newar people, with Hindu and Buddhist practices coexisting. As you ascend to the Manang Valley, the population predominantly consists of Tibetan-descended Gurung and Ghale people, who follow Tibetan Buddhism. At higher altitudes, particularly around the Mustang area, Buddhism is the main religion. Along the trail, you will encounter sacred monuments, prayer wheels, and other symbols of Buddhist culture.
