Everest base camp trekking, one of the most popular adventure destinations in Nepal, as well around the whole Himalayas range. The country of high hills, the world’s highest mountains, glacial rivers, and scenic valleys makes the walk

exciting and interesting. Includes world heritage sites the Sagarmatha National Park enriched with exotic flora and fauna. Walking on a scenic trail in the close harmony of local Sherpa immense cultures, in the backdrop of high snow peaks.

Everest base camp trekking is certainly a fabulous adventure of once in a lifetime to experience. As well to test your physical ability by walking on high-altitude terrain enclosed by towering giant snow-capped peaks.

A sweeping short panoramic flight brings you to Lukla, a town with a unique airstrip. Lukla is the start and endpoint of most trekking and various adventures around the high Khumbu region. Due to its small airport called Tenzing & Hillary, the walk begins following the Dudh Kosi River valley and gorge.

A pleasant walk through several interesting villages on the first section of the adventure before Namche Bazaar. A long and scenic climb brings you to the famous Namche Bazaar, on leaving the river way down below.

An exciting place and the hub of Khumbu Sherpa and for trekkers, where various facilities are available in this lovely village. As well as the perfect height for a rest day to support acclimatization before heading to higher terrain and Everest base camp.

From Namche on the main trail to our destination heading on a scenic path facing glorious views of Everest. Includes an array of towering peaks with a climb to the picturesque spot at Tengboche and the famous majestic monastery.

A beautiful place surrounded by high peaks with Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Kantega, Tharmasarku, and Kwangde. Enjoy the panorama of the gigantic mountain range amidst lovely forest surroundings, with time to visit the impressive monastery interior.

Walk from Tengboche leads on the windswept country as walk follows on gradual uphill to Dingboche, on leaving Pangboche village. Dingboche is located on a scenic Imjatse valley beneath the staggering North Face of Ama Dablam with views of Island Peak. Spending an extra day in this lovely valley, finally, the adventure leads towards mountain wilderness.

Then reaching Mt. Everest base camp, within remorseless fields of ice and glaciers and close to massif Khumbu Ice-Fall.

Enjoy the fruit of success after a long hard day walks, enclosed by gigantic mountains. The adventure continues to complete the final highlight of the journey to the top of Kalapathar rocky hill. The highest point of the trek rewards an alluring panorama of the world's tallest peaks facing Mt. Everest at the closest distance.

After achieving all the major highlights of the adventure, return journey downhill to Namche and back to Lukla. For the last overnight stop around the high Khumbu and Everest region, the next morning a short scenic flight brings you to Kathmandu.

Things to know on Mount Everest Base Camp Trek:

Trekkers might be unaware that Mt. Lhotse, the world's 4th highest peaks share the same base camp as Mt. Everest.

Mt. Everest at present in last few years is officially a little higher than before. The new agreed height of Mt. Everest is 8,848.86 meters / 29,031.69 feet, which was announced at a virtual ceremony by both countries Nepal and China.

Likewise, the actual height of Kalapathar Hill and view top is 5,643 m / 18,514 feet high, as there are two tops the lower and higher. The lower top of Kalapathar is at 5,545 m. high, the main top is slightly higher both ridges offers the grand views of Mt. Everest.

Outline Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Day 02: From Kathmandu fly to Lukla 2, 820 m, trek to Phakding 2,645 m- 04 hrs.

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m / 11, 350 feet - 06 hrs.

Day 04: At Namche for acclimatization and a short scenic hike.

Day 05: Trek to Tengboche 3,867 m - 05 hrs.

Day 06: Trek to Dingboche 4,340 m - 05 hrs.

Day 07: Rest day in Dingboche for acclimatization and short excursion.

Day 08: Trek to Lobuche 4,960 m - 05 hrs.

Day 09: Trek to Everest Base Camp 5,364 m -07 hours, return to Gorakshep.

Day 10: Climb Kalapathar 5,643 m / 18,514 feet trek to Pangboche 3, 900 m.

Day 11: Trek to Namche Bazaar- 07 hrs.

Day 12: Trek to Lukla - 06 hours.

Day 13: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu with afternoon free at leisure.

Day 14: At Kathmandu free day at leisure.

Day 15: Depart for International Departure.

The flight to Lukla and back to Kathmandu, where flight can be delayed or might get postponed for next morning. Due to unfavorable weather conditions around mountainous region of Himalayas, can happen sometimes even in best time of the season.     Best Seasons:

    Mount Everest base camp trekking can be visited all seasons of the year-round, except the monsoon wet times. The best seasons are in spring and autumn/fall, where days are crystal clear for views and pleasant walks.

    The spring times begin from March till May, the high seasons for trekking to Everest base camp and around the Himalayas.

    Most days are clear fine and bright with sunshine, which can get overcast in the late afternoon. Chances of snowfall sometimes on higher terrain, cold in the morning late afternoon, and nighttime. The mid-hills are lively with wildflowers in seasonal bloom, especially the rhododendron of various species from trees to a bush.

    The next best time is in autumn/fall, one of the peak seasons. For trekking around the Himalayas and to Everest base camp, where days are mostly crystal clear for

    views and scenic walks. However, the days are shorter due to fewer sun-light hours, much colder morning and late afternoon till night time.

    Chances of snowfall sometimes during the walk around higher areas above 3,000 m high, but with a bright starry night sky.

    Religion, Culture of Everest, and high Khumbu:

    The Sherpa of Everest around high Khumbu follows Tibetan Buddhism known as Mahayana or Greater Wheel. Established by great Guru Rinpoche Padamasamba in the 7th Century, reforming Buddhism which was near to extinct.

    The culture, tradition, and heritage are similar to its Tibetan predecessors, the Sherpa migrated from the Eastern part of Tibet. More than 500 years of history, and the word Sherpa means Sher for East and Pa for people.

    Interesting villages of Sherpa to explore and to observe the immense impressive cultures of age-old heritage. The name for Everest in the native Sherpa language is Chomolungma of Tibetan origin, which Nepali calls Sagarmatha.

    In both languages means a ‘Great Mother’, and most villages are adorned with religious flags and monuments of prayer walls.

    Every village houses impressive monasteries and shrines, which you will have time to explore and observe.

    Sherpa celebrates New Year called Losar, which falls at the end of February or the beginning of March. According to the Tibetan Buddhist Lunar calendar, based on animals and birds, the year 2022 is a year of a Tiger.

    The other main festival celebrated around high Khumbu is Mani-Rimdu, which takes place en route to Everest base camp. At Tengboche monastery, the event takes place at end of October or the first week of November.
